Stepping into the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque, is like entering another world. The vast interior is bathed in an ethereal glow, emanating from the hand-painted blue Iznik tiles that adorn the walls. The dome, towering high above, seems to stretch endlessly into the heavens.
Intricate floral designs and geometric patterns dance across the tiles, creating a mesmerizing spectacle.Sunlight streams through the stained glass windows, casting colorful pools of light onto the plush carpets. The air is filled with the murmur of prayers and the soft chanting of Qur'anic verses.
Visitors are required to remove their shoes and cover their heads before entering the prayer hall. Women are also asked to cover their arms and legs. Despite the restrictions, the atmosphere is one of serenity and respect.
